investing in tomorrow’s problem solvers

Preparing the next generation of problem solvers is essential to building a world where energy is affordable, reliable and ever-cleaner. Chevron aims to inspire the next generation of innovators who can tackle the complex challenges that we face. We do this by supporting science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education through numerous programs and strategic partnerships. We support local schools and other organizations to advance STEM education opportunities in Kern, Fresno and Monterey Counties.

We support the Kern County Superintendent of Schools to support innovative programs that enable the next generation of problem solvers to tackle the challenges of today and tomorrow. Learn more about what we’re doing to support the successful learning and development of youth in Kern County.

We support the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools and their programs aimed at expanding educational opportunities and innovative STEM-based initiatives to children of all backgrounds.

Chevron supports the Central Coast Mobile Fab Lab, which brings immersive STEM learning experiences to students across Monterey County. Fully equipped with digital design tools and prototyping machines, the Fab Lab engages middle school students in hands-on projects, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills.

The Fresno County (Career Technical Education Charter) CTEC High School’s robotics program provides students with hands-on technical education. Through partnerships with local organizations, including Chevron, students build competitive robots from scratch and take them to tournaments.

We work with the Community Action Partership of Kern (CPAK) each winter to sponsor and help distribute coats to children in the organizations Head Start program.

Chevron is proud to support Fresno City College’s annual Women in Engineering Conference designed to encourage more women to pursue STEM careers.

Chevron partners with KION 46, FOX 35 and Telemundo 23 to recognize the hard work of Monterey County students with a student of the month program. Selected students exemplify outstanding characteristics both as a student and as a citizen of the community.
